Topnews:What is your brand name?
BlackMc: my brand name is black mc.
Topnews : How do you combine Mc and a true Worshipper?
BlackMc : hmmmm you see let me clear the air no matter what I am a worshipper before I am a mc i am the property of the almighty God he owns me and I will serve for the rest of my life here on earth. so therefore I don’t need to combine being a worshipper comes first.
Topnews:Why did you decide to choose BlackMc as your brand name?
BlackMc:hmmm while growing up people insult me and made so many derogatory statements about my skin colour and also my talkative behaviour…. as in I can talk ehnnnnnnn me sef I fear me but on a serious note the holy spirit gave me the courage to use the insults I got to build a career for myself
Topnews:As an Mc what does it entails?
BlackMc:According to me i say this an MC is just a corporate houseboy because as anybody that attend events know that an mc does what the owner of the event wants and add his or her own flavour to make it very entertaining and captivating. let me chip there is a difference between an MC and a comedian by the special grace of God people like my ogas SACO damola comedian and the rest are able to combine being an mc and add jokes to it as for me i am more of a cooperate mc I don’t try to be funny on several occasions people have said I made them laugh I don’t how o but depending on the event I will make sure I give you the best
Topnews: Can you share your most embarrassing moment as an Mc with us?
BlackMc: hmmmmmmm I will never forget this day I was told by my friend to anchor his grandmother’s and her twin 70th birthday party not knowing it was a YORUBA speaking event. when I started I began to use my phonetics for them and they were all looking lost until I was told not many people heard me i ended up speaking YORUBANGLISH they just laughed so hard and also the elders corrected me and helped me out but it was so much fun.
Topnews: What have been your Challenge so far?
BlackMc: My major challenge not just being an MC but me ayodeji ogunko is that I don’t rest I hardly sleep I am always busy I hardly have time for me but I have resulted in creating an avenue for rest so I don’t break down there was this time I and my team organised an all night worship concert i was busy from the day before that day and the next day i was reminded I had an event to host trust me my eyes where swollen that day but I put in my all and it was a wonderful time
Topnews: Speaking about of your brand Gods own force can you tell us what it is about?
BlackMc: Gods own force is not my brand it’s my ministry. I got the vision from God August 2015 at a camp meeting by choice souls media the meeting then was THE AGENDA believe me the first thing I heard God tell me ever in life was Gods own force. I was instructed to raise godly worshippers amongst young people like myself. God used us to establish it in bowen university and the ministry has birth a yearly concert we call THE REVOLUTION the third edition was done may 2018 and it was so awesome we have had so many awesome gospel ministers come to bowen through this platform ministers like odunayo aboderin ibk white and Ernieola. we have also had this worship concert in Lagos state twice. it was so awesome. the vision is to get to every university and bring up worshippers for the masters use. let me also add this Gods own force has also birthed a female ministry called HEPZIBAH so therefore Gods own force is a ministry not a brand
Topnews: What opportunities have you gotten from being an Mc and a true worshipper?
BlackMc: God has been faithful I have met with wonderful people that while growing up I saw them on television or read about them in the newspaper I have been able to meet with the current minister of information alhaji lai Mohammed, king sunny ade, funke akindele and so many other. God has been too gracious to me
Topnews: What word of advice do you have for aspiring Mc?
BlackMc: learn to shut up sit down and learn. don’t think because you can dress or speak you are now an MC just like that. trust me when i say this you can never stop learning if you don’t learn you will never know.
secondly humility is very basic I remember I anchored a show one and a lady shouted that I should shut up I could have replied her but I simply smiled and I told people to clap for her that she was beautiful. no matter what career you embark upon people will annoy but simply humble yourself.
finally fear God in all that you do trust me when i say this to you I am JESUS boy till I die.
you can be better than your mentor but humble yourself.
thank you so much
